Get Ready

Everything you need to know before you arrive

Prepare well, arrive ready, and get the most out of every session on the snow.

What to Expect

A day in the life at SuperCamps

The day starts in SilverStar Village — coffee in hand, skis on your shoulder, meeting your group before heading out to the trails. Our coaches are what makes SuperCamps special and each instructor has their own unique flair. While the schedule is the same between groups, your coach will make decisions about where to ski and what to work on based on how the group is progressing — they welcome your suggestions if you want to work on something specifically!

Lunch is at Red Antler, with a short Lunch & Learn clinic afterwards — practical stuff like waxing, hydration, or equipment that you'll use on the snow. Then back out for the afternoon session to put the morning's feedback to work.

Evenings rotate between yoga and stretching sessions and group socials where the camp community comes together.

How to get the most out of it

Build your base before you arrive

You don't need to be in peak shape, but the fitter you arrive, the more you'll absorb. Even a few weeks of easy aerobic activity before camp makes a real difference in how you feel by day three.

Come with an open mind about your technique

The coaches will show you things you haven't noticed before. Some of it will feel unfamiliar at first — that's normal. Trust the process and stay curious.

Don't stress about your level

We've placed thousands of skiers into groups. You'll land in the right one, and if something feels off on day one, we'll sort it.

Hydrate on and off the snow

SilverStar sits at altitude, which means you'll dehydrate faster than you're used to — even on cold days. Drink before you feel thirsty, and keep drinking throughout the day. A water belt or hydration pack makes this easy on the snow.

Rest well in the evenings

The evening socials and yoga sessions are genuinely worth attending — but so is sleep. Early-season skiing is physical. Treat recovery as part of the program.

Bring questions for your coach

Your coach is there for you. If something isn't clicking, ask. If you want to understand the why behind a drill, ask. The more engaged you are, the more you'll get out of every session.

A note on early-season conditions

  • Grooming variability is part of early-season skiing — unsettled and new snowpack can make perfection a challenge, and that's part of what makes SuperCamps special.
  • Occasionally low snow or trail conditions may require adjustments to the day's plan. We may use the gondola to access upper mountain terrain when needed.
  • Alpine skiing at SilverStar typically opens in early December, which adds activity options in the evenings and rest days.
  • Communications with your camp details will be sent approximately one month before your camp start date.
